Our summer vacation is officially over as of this Monday morning at around 4:30. That is when Tibi will be getting up to get ready for Seminary that starts at 6 a.m. Landon will be getting up a little after that awful 5:30. Lucky him! He gets to sleep an extra hour. That means that mom will most likely be up somewhere between those times in order to get kids in the showers, hot breakfast made, and kick them out the door when it's not her turn to drive. It also means that mom is back to working out, which she is actually looking forward to. Our days of sleeping in, lounging around the house, watching whatever is on TV, and even watching the rest of the Olympics at night will be over and done with. Bedtime around here will be strictly at 9:30 p.m. No questions asked! We ALL need our beauty sleep.....even dad.
Both of them on a computer doing what they love to do. (Check the scores, talk with friends, read the blogs, etc.)
Watching late night Olympics.
Chatting with bed-ridden Lisa, Tibi's good friend who just had knee surgery. (A real bummer at age 14!)

It always seems like the start of another school year is a bitter-sweet time for mothers. I'm glad that you'll get to work out, get the kids to bed early, and have the house to yourself for a few hours, but I'm sure that the getting up at 4:30am, chauffering them everywhere, and planning your days around their schedules aren't things you look forward to. Good luck!

Yikes! 4:30? I had early morning and I think I got up at 5am. Oh well, I guess Tibi needs plenty of time to primp! Hahaha

Haha. Nice Connie. I'm excited for you guys to come up this weekend!!! I feel bad for the babies and mom having to wake up that early. There's a running group that I might join. They're in my ward and they run 3 times a week at 6am....I just don't know.
